Summer on the Lawn Rolls On in Basehor
If you have not made it out to the City Hall lawn yet this summer, this is your week. The city's free Cinema Sundays series continues with family favorites on the big screen, and lineup titles this season include Ferdinand, Field of Dreams, and The Goonies.
Then on Thursday, July 16, Third Thursdays: Concerts on the Lawn welcomes country artist Paige King Johnson. Pack up your lawn chairs and blankets, grab the family, and come enjoy live music with your neighbors.

Slow down on State Avenue. A reminder that the speed limit on U.S. 24/40 through Basehor is 55 mph (down from 65) between roughly 150th and 158th Streets, a change the city and KDOT partnered on to make the corridor safer for everyone.
