📚 Today at the Library: Auction This Afternoon, Trivia Tonight

It's a double-header at the Basehor Community Library today:

  • Summer Reading Auction, 2pm to 4pm - kids cash in their hard-earned summer reading dollars and bid on prizes to close out the program. Bring the readers and their winnings!

  • Family Trivia Night, 6pm to 7:30pm - teams of 4 to 6 battle it out, and solo players can join a team at the start. Registration is requested, so check basehorlibrary.com before heading over.

🎡 Fair Countdown: One Week!

Exactly one week from today, the Leavenworth County Fair opens its 100th anniversary run (July 28 to August 1 in Tonganoxie).

Today's fair fact: Fair week traditionally goes out with a bang - the demolition derby is the grand finale that packs the grandstand, and with the rodeo in the mix, the centennial's closing weekend should be one for the books.

Last call for fair memories! Hit reply with your favorite story or old photo this week and we'll feature reader memories during centennial week.
