The Extreme Heat Warning holds through 8pm Tuesday, with heat index values still reaching up to 105. Today does bring a slight chance of showers later on, which could offer a small break, but don't count on it clearing the heat entirely.
Keep taking this seriously: limit outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours, check on elderly neighbors and anyone without reliable air conditioning, and never leave kids or pets in a parked car.
