Meme of the Day
Today is partly sunny with a high near 83, comfortable for the morning picking crowd at Holy-Field. Clouds build up through the afternoon, with a chance of rain showers after 4pm and a better chance of showers and thunderstorms overnight, so plan any outdoor evening plans with that in mind. Tonight cools to a low around 65.
🍇 Today: Harvest Picking Sunday at Holy-Field Vineyard & Winery
Basehor's oldest operating winery kicks off its annual Harvest Picking Sundays tradition today. Holy-Field Vineyard & Winery has hosted this community grape picking event since 1994, and it runs every Sunday from late August through September while the harvest is in.
Volunteers meet at the winery at 8:00am to help pick that week's grapes, then stick around afterward for a home cooked farm lunch and a look at the crush in the wine cellar. It is free to join, but reservations are required so the winery can plan for lunch, so call ahead before you show up.
