🥵 Heat Advisory Extended Again, Now Through Saturday Evening
The National Weather Service has pushed the Heat Advisory back a second time. What started as a Monday-through-Wednesday advisory now runs all the way through 8pm Saturday, with heat index values still reaching up to 104. This has been an unusually long, stubborn stretch of heat for early September.
The advice hasn't changed, but it bears repeating after five straight days: check on elderly neighbors and anyone without reliable air conditioning, limit strenuous outdoor activity to early morning or evening, and keep drinking water throughout the day.
