If you've driven through Bonner Springs or Lansing lately and caught the smell of fresh espresso, there's a good chance it was coming from Ten & Two Coffee — a local coffee bar that has quietly become one of the more interesting spots in the area, thanks to a simple twist: it runs on coffee in the morning and craft cocktails at night.

With two locations a short drive from Basehor, Ten & Two leans into a "two pit stops" identity. Mornings are built around barista-made coffee drinks, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches and pastries, with a lounge area set up for catching up with friends or getting a little work done. The pitch is straightforward: fuel up, then stick around for the atmosphere.

After dark, the menu changes gears

Once evening rolls in, the same space shifts into cocktail territory. The team puts the spotlight on hand-crafted drinks, including a featured Blackberry Jalapeño Margarita that blends tequila with a sweet-and-spicy mix of blackberry and jalapeño. It's the kind of place built to work both as a daytime caffeine stop and an evening hangout.

The Lansing location adds its own wrinkle, hosting "Tinsel Town" weekends — family-friendly during the day and shifting to a 21-and-up crowd at night.
