🎆 Red, White & BOOM! This Saturday
Basehor's Independence Day celebration caps America's 250th on Saturday, July 4th. Food trucks fire up at 5:30 PM at Basehor-Linwood High School, the parade steps off at 7:30 PM from 155th & Leavenworth Road, and after a 9:00 PM Honor Guard and flag raising, the fireworks light up around 9:15 PM at the BLHS football stadium. Bring a lawn chair and arrive early.

The Basehor Farmer & Craft Market at 2705 155th St. keeps its usual Saturday hours 9 AM to 3 PM on July 4th, a handy stop for holiday snacking and cookout supplies. Spend $20 or more and you'll go home with a free USA bracelet. Look for fresh produce, Jet Meats, salsa, jelly, cheese, and apple cider donuts, an open sample bar, and Heavenly Creations sourdough (plain, jalapeño cheddar, double chocolate coffee, and white chocolate raspberry) plus oatmeal cream pies and other sweet treats. Planning a bite at The Nest Bar & Grill at Falcon Lakes Golf Club? Heads up: they're closing early at 3 PM on Saturday, July 4th so their team can spend the holiday with family, reopening Sunday, July 5th. If you're gathering on their patio at 4605 Clubhouse Dr. before the parade, just plan to wrap up by 3.
